The band section of this wrist watch is made of INDEN. INDEN involves staining tanned deer hide and drawing a pattern with lacquer. Due to its durability and beauty, this was used for samurai armor in ancient Japan. The INDEN used in this watch was made using the traditional technology of craftsmen in Uda City, Nara, Japan. It has a simple dial with a cherry blossom petal pattern on the band.
The gilding does not use the currently mainstream IP gilding (ion plating gilding), but rather makes use of nickel free palladium gilding, utilizing Japanese technology.
